HGV 1 Yard Operative - Workforce Staffing Ltd

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled HGV/LGV Terberg Yard Operative to join our team. This role involves the efficient movement and parking of vehicles and trailers within the yard, adhering to site protocols and company compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized working environment, following hygiene standards and the "clean as you go" policy.
- Conduct daily and weekly maintenance inspections on vehicles.
- Complete a minimum of two full trailer audits per shift.
- Fulfill loading bay check (DE010D) sheets twice daily.
- Monitor and document trailer temperatures to meet audit requirements.
- Manage diesel and milk spillages in accordance with company policy.
- Safely relocate trailers from the parking area to the loading bay and subsequently to the dispatch area once loaded.

Operational Duties:
- Follow proper procedures for hitching and unhitching trailers, ensuring secure loading.
- Adhere to company protocols while reversing in the yard area.
- Maintain cleanliness of the tug or unit, both inside and out.
- Assist with deliveries to other depots as needed, ensuring vehicle weight compliance before departure.
- Ensure adherence to Tachograph regulations.

Compliance and Safety:
- Follow all relevant systems and procedures for Product Safety, Legality, and Quality.
- Comply with Health and Safety and Environmental Management protocols.
- Act in the best interests of the company at all times.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Oversee fuel deliveries.
- Undertake any other duties as required.

Your Development:
- Participate in site induction and training programs.
- Gain a basic understanding of Health and Safety practices.
- Engage in training relevant to the role.
- Introduction to Company Excellence and Operational Excellence 5S.

Candidate Profile:
- Valid UK Driving Licence with Cat C+E entitlement.
- Current Digi & CPC Card.
- No more than 6 points for minor driving offences.
