Key Responsibilities
In your role as a Patient Services Coordinator, you will:
- Serve as the primary communication link between patients, healthcare providers, and the broader clinical team, facilitating seamless interactions.
- Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy while managing incoming calls, ensuring that all inquiries are addressed promptly and effectively.
- Assist patients in navigating our services, providing clear explanations of procedures and guiding them to the appropriate healthcare professional.
- Manage prescription requests and queries, ensuring that all repeat prescriptions are processed and available for collection within a timely manner.
- Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and data protection, adhering strictly to our information governance policies.
- Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring that all relevant information is documented and filed appropriately.
- Support the practice team by managing appointments, including urgent requests, with tact and efficiency.
- Handle financial transactions for private services, ensuring that patients are informed of any associated costs and that payments are processed correctly.
- Ensure that adequate coverage is maintained during periods of staff absence, contributing to a cohesive team environment.
