Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Specialist to join our Defence team in Manchester. As a key member of our project controls team, you will be responsible for providing performance reporting and analysis support to our clients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in cost control and a proven track record of working on complex Defence projects. You will be responsible for implementing, administering, and maintaining cost control systems and procedures to track project budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain cost control systems and procedures to track project budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of cost estimates.
  • Provide cost information to support decision-making and alternative selection.
  • Evaluate contractor invoices prior to submission for pre-approval.
  • Utilize information from Cost Capture System and input to cost report and validation of spending.
  • Evaluate and analyze fee proposals/bids and provide recommendations for decision-making.
  • Provide forecasts and cash flow analysis.
  • Maintain and manage the cost report and provide regular updates on financial position.
Requirements
  • Computer literate in Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge and proficiency with multiple discipline-specific software applications such as SAP, Sage, etc.
  • Professional working knowledge of Project Controls software and tools.
