About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to join our team as an Administrative Coordinator for the Emergency Department and AAU. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative support to our clinical teams, ensuring the smooth operation of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a front-line reception service to patients, relatives, and carers, ensuring a high standard of customer care.
  • Collect, investigate, verify, and record patient demographic and treatment data with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Enter information into the computerized patient information system, ensuring compliance with national NHS targets and data quality standards.
  • Undertake effective forward planning to meet the administrative needs of the service.
  • Carry out a range of administration processes to support the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Requirements
  • Demonstrable ability to meet the Trust Values.
  • NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent.
  • Experience of working in a public/patient-facing role.
  • Previous work experience in a healthcare setting (desirable).
  • Experience of working with Cerner or similar electronic Patient Administration Systems (desirable).
Skills and Aptitudes
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to use initiative and problem-solve in a busy clinical environment.
  • Typing and data entry skills.
  • Good level of computer literacy skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and databases.
  • Flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of the service.
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
