About the Role

Carnival UK is seeking a highly skilled HVAC / Ventilation Systems Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Electro-Technical department, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the ship's ventilation, main AC water chiller systems, and domestic refrigeration plant.

This is a unique opportunity to work on board a luxury cruise ship, visiting different destinations and gaining experiences that will stay with you for a lifetime. You will be part of a close-knit team, working together to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our ships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain the ship's ventilation, main AC water chiller systems, and domestic refrigeration plant
  • Respond to defects quickly and prioritize work to be carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with all current safety and company regulations
  • Support the Electro-Technical department in the maintenance and delivery of the asset management plan
  • Develop and lead the ventilation team to ensure the technical needs of the business are met
Requirements
  • Relevant Refrigeration Qualification (e.g. City and Guilds or NVQ3)
  • Solid proven experience of working within the refrigeration industry
  • Ventilation experience
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • F-gas Certification
  • Valid ENG1 medical certificate or equivalent for the duration of each voyage
