About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our Theatre Nursing Team at Southfields Veterinary Specialists. As a Theatre RVN, you will work alongside a team of experienced professionals to provide exceptional care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform the circulating nurse and scrub nurse role
  • Provide nursing care and preparations for surgical patients, including clipping and cleaning surgical sites, IV placements, and feeding tube placements
  • Help with the maintenance and preparation of sterile supplies
  • Support SVNs and PCAs during their theatre rotation
  • Infection control monitoring
  • Work and communicate effectively between different departments and personnel
  • Anaesthesia and sedations for surgical patients
  • Provide the highest standard of care for our patients

Working Hours and Benefits

You will work a variety of shifts between 8am – 8pm Monday to Friday and 2:8 weekends with time in lieu the following week and a minimum of 1 bank holiday per year. We offer a range of benefits, including 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays and Birthday Leave, RCVS and VDS fees paid, and extensive free online CPD.
