ROLE OF THE MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST
At Château de Mercuès, our dedicated Estates Team plays a crucial role in ensuring our guests enjoy a remarkable experience. The variety of tasks keeps the work engaging and dynamic. With numerous uniquely designed accommodations and expansive grounds to care for, including gardens and water features, we seek individuals who possess a meticulous eye for detail and are versatile in their skills.

Responsibilities of a Maintenance Specialist

Perform repairs on the infrastructure of the property, including door hardware, lighting fixtures, and flooring. Address minor electrical repairs, such as changing light bulbs and replacing sockets. Conduct plumbing repairs, including fixing taps and plumbing systems. Build and maintain outdoor structures like fences, paths, and patios. Ensure the upkeep of decks surrounding outdoor amenities. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and document actions taken. Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies and replenish as needed. Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order and reporting any issues. Escalate complex maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel. Assist with various projects and scheduled maintenance tasks as required. Uphold personal and guest safety standards at all times. Take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship consistently. Keep the work environment clean, organized, and safe. Present a professional appearance, adhering to grooming standards.

Required Qualifications

Skills and Experience Needed

Previous experience in a similar role is preferred. Essential experience in maintenance and property management. Relevant trade qualifications are advantageous but not mandatory. Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends. Ability to work collaboratively with team members to achieve common goals. Adaptability to handle requests efficiently and with a positive attitude. Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. High motivation and commitment to achieving results. Physical fitness is essential for managing equipment and tasks. Ability to respond calmly to urgent situations, prioritizing safety. Willingness to serve as a First Aid Aider or Fire Warden if necessary.

Success in this role requires physical stamina and the ability to operate various machinery. Experience or willingness to learn about livestock management is also beneficial.
