Machine Learning Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join our newly formed data science team at Hiscox. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to shape the data science delivery pipeline and contribute to the development of our data platform in Databricks.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement the deployment framework for all data science services, ensuring seamless integration with our data warehouse.
- Oversee the automation of the data science life cycle, from dataset build to deployment and monitoring.
- Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and other technical teams to support the maturation of our analytics practice.
- Develop high-quality Python code using industry best practices for model training and deployment.
- Strong Python programming skills and experience with cloud native deployments.
- Good knowledge of software engineering best practices and experience with TDD, CI/CD, and VCS.
- Experience with Databricks, managed endpoints, AKS, and neural networks.
- Understanding of machine learning principles and ability to apply them to solve business problems.
- Graduate or Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline, such as engineering, mathematics, physics, or statistics.
- Experience with data science in finance, insurance, or e-commerce.
- Knowledge of neural networks, TensorFlow, CatBoost, XGBoost, Scikit-learn, and Pandas.
