Payroll Officer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join our Finance Team in a well-established business in the North Yorkshire / East Yorkshire area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the payroll for around 400 employees working in several locations in Yorkshire for this well-regarded organisation.

This is a fast-paced, busy position working in the finance team with the finance manager and purchase ledger clerk.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Finalising payroll and production of wage slips
  • Calculations of holiday pay
  • Reconciling loans, pensions, PAYE etc
  • Monitoring working time regulations
  • Processing new starters, leavers, P45/46, P60s
  • Calculating SSP, SMP, SAP and SPP
