Position Overview:
We are collaborating with a prominent Multi-Academy Trust to find a Senior Finance Business Partner for the London Region. This role offers a competitive salary range of £80,000 - £89,000 along with a comprehensive benefits package.
About the Trust:
This Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) encompasses a diverse range of Secondary, Primary, and Provision Schools throughout the UK, managing approximately 40 schools. The Trust is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial planning and budget management for the Region.
- Take responsibility for the financial resources of the Region.
- Provide leadership and guidance on all financial matters for the London Academies.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, conduct variance analysis, and regularly update budget forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with all ESFA requirements.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across schools to develop strategic plans and mitigate potential risks.
- Support and mentor finance and administrative personnel within the schools.
- Engage with Principals and Headteachers regarding risk management and procurement policies.
- Contribute to the enhancement of financial policies, procedures, and systems.
- Regularly interact with Local Authorities to secure necessary funding for Alternative Provision (AP) and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) services.
- Lead funding applications for AP and SEND initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Qualified with CCAB (ACA, ACCA, CIPFA), CGMA/CIMA, or equivalent.
- Possess a Degree Level Qualification.
- Demonstrated experience in the Education, School, or Local Authority sectors.
- Familiarity with ESFA regulations and guidelines.
- Essential experience in business partnering and providing financial support and guidance.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience in financial appraisal.
- Proven leadership and operational management capabilities.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: £80,000 - £89,000 (inclusive of London Weighting).
- Pension options: LGPS or TPS.
- Flexible working arrangements, including hybrid and home working.
- Generous holiday entitlement.
- Continuous Professional Development (CPD) allowance.
- Expectation to visit each school in your Region weekly.
