Job Title: Consultant Acute Medicine

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Acute Medicine to join our team at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Acute Medicine to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our acute medicine services.

As a Consultant Acute Medicine, you will be responsible for leading a team of medical staff, providing clinical expertise, and developing and implementing new services and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of medical conditions
  • Lead a team of medical staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient care
  • Develop and implement new services and initiatives to improve patient outcomes and experience
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and effective communication
  • Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement activities to ensure high standards of care
Requirements
  • On GMC Specialist Register for specialty / Specialty Registrar with CCT / CESR(CP) due within six months of interview date
  • MRCP or equivalent
