Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess at least an SVQ level II in Social Care or a related discipline, along with hands-on experience in a supportive capacity, assisting clients with their personal care plans. The individual must demonstrate the ability to work independently and exhibit a mature, self-sufficient demeanor, capable of handling unexpected situations with composure and adaptability.
It is essential for the candidate to be registered with the SSSC and to hold a satisfactory enhanced PVG.
The selected individual will participate in training outlined in the Unit's training and staff development plan concerning medication administration.

Working Pattern: 5-week rota, including weekend shifts
Weeks per year: 52
Please be aware that it is the policy of Midlothian Council that successful candidates will be appointed to the initial point on the salary scale.
For a 24-hour workweek over 52 weeks, the minimum actual salary for this role is £17,92 per annum.
For a 36-hour workweek over 52 weeks, the minimum actual salary for this role is £25,88 per annum.
Requirements
This position is classified as Regulated Work with Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act. Therefore, it is unlawful to apply if you are barred from working with Protected Adults.
Successful applicants will need PVG Scheme membership for Regulated Work with Protected Adults. You will be required to join the Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to starting employment, with the associated costs being your responsibility.
