About the Role

The Senior Endpoint Security Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of Amcor's global Endpoint security infrastructure. This includes major upgrades, feature improvements, system-wide changes, and core platform maintenance. The successful candidate will work closely with the IT Security Manager and collaborate with other teams to enhance the organization's cybersecurity maturity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to Global Security Standards
    • Ensure compliance with global IT security processes, procedures, and policy.
  • Investigate Security Incidents
    • Assist with security investigations to determine root cause, impact, and remediation steps.
  • Endpoint Security Management
    • Actively participate in a 24x7 delivery team, which will include on-call work. Identify and analyze malware, including global trends.
  • Security Engineering Leadership
    • Be a thought leader in security engineering, driving automation, analytics, and advanced threat analysis.
  • Project Delivery
    • Complete assigned projects on time, in line with approved change management practices, and with excellent quality.
  • Endpoint Security Solution Management
    • Configuration, policy changes, and any system-wide changes for the endpoint security solution.
  • Process Improvement
    • Continually improve processes to drive operational excellence and support the IT Security Strategy.
  • Endpoint Security System Monitoring
    • Monitoring and Continuous improvement for the Endpoint Security system and health.
  • Incident Response
    • Proactively propose improvements for how to reduce risk and potential future incidents.
  • Security Support
    • Provide incident response support, including mitigating actions to contain malicious activity and facilitating forensics analysis when necessary.
  • Security Recommendations
    • Recommends security controls and/or corrective actions for mitigating technical and business risk.
  • Documentation and Communication
    • Regularly document work in an ITIL-based ticketing system with a thoroughness acceptable for knowledge base use.
  • Staying Informed
    • Stay informed of breaking news, industry trends, and best practices from multiple reliable sources.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Other Security Engineering Systems support as requested.

Requirements

  • Experience
    • 5+ years relevant experience with Endpoint Protection Products.
  • Knowledge and Skills
    • Knowledge of information security principles, defense in depth, TCP/IP, threat and vulnerability management, incident response, and identity and access management.
  • Language and Communication
    • Fluent in English in both writing and speech.
  • Scripting and Automation
    • Strong scripting ability to enable automation where possible.
  • Qualifications
    • Desirable – Security+, SSCP, CEH, GSEC, CND, or similar.
  • Soft Skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
    • Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills.
