Job Title: Technical Designer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Designer to join our Growth Marketing Content Production Team at Electronic Arts (EA). As a Technical Designer, you will be responsible for creating and delivering high-quality cinematic assets that empower our brand go-to-market strategies across global channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a creative team of artists to ensure our marketing assets are delivered to the highest quality and compete on a world-class level.
  • Partner with artists and engineers to provide a workflow for cinematic artists on a per-project basis, adapting to artistic and technical constraints.
  • Identify technical problems and propose solutions, ensuring seamless integration of 3D art and assets.
  • Work with partner studios to share technology and best practices, driving innovation in the field.
  • Develop custom tools for digital content creation, leveraging expertise in game development frameworks and methodologies.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a digital art content creation pipeline, within the video game or film/TV industry with a focus on cinematics.
  • Experience within a game engine (Frostbite, Unreal, Unity, or similar).
  • Experience producing outstanding cinematic assets, with a strong understanding of real-time workflows and technical hurdles.
  • Familiarity with 3D DCC tools such as Autodesk Maya, MotionBuilder, 3dsMax, or Blender.
  • Knowledge of high-level coding languages (Python, C#, mel scripting) and version control systems (Perforce, Git, or Shotgrid).
