Job Title: Medical Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Hunter Valley Private Hospital. As a Registered Nurse in our Recovery Unit, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver evidence-based nursing care to patients in the Recovery Unit
  • Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Ensure patient and staff safety through effective risk management and quality improvement initiatives
  • Supervise and direct nursing team members to deliver patient care
  • Deliver education and support to patients and their families to promote health recovery and rehabilitation
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards)
  • Working with Children check
  • Commitment to quality patient care and compliance with Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (ACSQHC) standards
  • Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills
