About the Role
As a Dedicated Linehaul Driver, you'll be at the heart of our efficient logistics network, ensuring timely and reliable delivery of goods across the country. You'll operate modern Volvo lorries, renowned for their comfort and advanced features, including fridges and leather seats.
Our well-structured shift schedules typically run from Monday to Friday, with 45-hour working weeks and 9-hour shifts commencing around 5/6 pm. You'll often have advance notice of your routes, minimizing stress and maximizing your time on the road.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute efficient trunking routes to regional hubs during the night shift.
- Ensure timely delivery of various cargo types, including cages, pallets, freight, stillages, and Yorks, to both internal and external customers.
- Perform daily vehicle and trailer inspections, completing defect reports as necessary.
- Collaborate with site managers to address customer queries and ensure a seamless delivery experience.
What We Look For
- Valid Class 1 Driving Licence.
- Driver CPC Qualification Card.
- Completed or ongoing DCPC training hours.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Road Transport Laws and a commitment to safe driving practices.
- A proactive and solution-oriented approach.
