Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Lead Engineer to join our team at GE Aviation. As a key member of our Engineering Department, you will be responsible for the delivery of Test Equipment into the production environment, along with associated documentation and spares.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transition Test Equipment and supporting documentation from the Engineering Department to the Supply Chain end user.
  • Address all reliability and yield related projects to enhance performance of the Test Equipment during and after the transition.
  • Provide technical advice to the Test Systems NPI and Sustainment teams.
  • Mentor junior/less experienced engineers.
  • Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews.
  • Communicate timely on significant issues or developments.
  • Adhere to Quality Management Systems processes and procedures.
  • Provide technical advice to drive both In-Circuit Test / Flying Probe Test development and support projects.
  • Support JTAG Technologies BSCAN controllers and ProVision software capabilities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree/HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering discipline.
  • Technical leadership experience.
  • Basic Project Management skills.
  • Experience with configuration/change management tools.
  • Debugging/fault finding skills.
  • Hardware/Software integration experience.
  • Experience mentoring less experienced engineers.
  • Excellent communication skills to team, peers, and all levels of management.
Desired Characteristics
  • NPI process knowledge/experience.
  • Test Systems Sustainment process knowledge/experience.
  • Familiar with highly regulated Quality Management System(s).
  • Good people skills and a firm interest in developing engineers.
  • An appetite to drive Continuous Improvement initiatives and invest in process development/refinement.
  • Familiar with developing and utilising Action Plans and Problem-Solving Methodologies.
