Key Responsibilities

In the Corporate and Clinical Services sectors, you will leverage your specialized procurement expertise to design and implement innovative services and frameworks for clinical and managed services, as well as statutory and non-statutory offerings, while identifying collaborative procurement opportunities.

Your responsibilities will encompass supporting stakeholders, health systems, and individual NHS entities, with a diverse range of tasks including:

  • Developing and executing procurement strategies.
  • Assisting customer projects and providing expert advice.
  • Maximizing cost efficiencies within Integrated Care Systems and NHS Trusts.

Successful candidates will demonstrate in-depth category and market knowledge in at least one of the following areas: clinical services, managed services, statutory services, or non-statutory services.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • Membership in a recognized professional procurement institute or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Recognized project management qualification or relevant experience.

Desirable

  • MBA or equivalent senior-level experience.

Skills and Competencies

Essential

  • Proven senior procurement experience, including structured procurement processes.
  • Experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies.
  • Ability to manage multiple contracts to ensure optimal value and service quality.
  • Strong relationship management skills with suppliers and clients.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UK Procurement Directives and relevant laws.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with risk management processes and ethical procurement practices.
