Position Overview:

As the Director of Corporate Foreign Exchange at StoneX, your key responsibility will be to oversee and expand our FX sales and trading operations tailored for the corporate sector. This role necessitates a balanced focus on both sales and trading, requiring you to devise and execute intricate hedging strategies while fostering and sustaining client relationships. Your contributions will be vital in assisting clients to navigate FX market uncertainties through customized solutions utilizing various FX instruments.

Key Responsibilities

Main Duties will include:

  • Client Identification and Acquisition: Actively seek and target potential mid-to-large clients by analyzing market dynamics and leveraging industry connections.
  • Client Consultation: Collaborate with clients to ascertain their specific FX hedging requirements and needs.
  • Strategy Development: Design and implement sophisticated hedging strategies that align with client risk profiles and trading goals.
  • Trade Execution and Sales: Execute FX trades effectively while maintaining a strong sales orientation to ensure client satisfaction and portfolio expansion.
  • Relationship Management: Build enduring relationships with both new and existing clients, ensuring their trading needs are met with the utmost quality of service.
  • Market and Regulatory Compliance Monitoring: Stay informed about market developments, competitor actions, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and refine trading strategies.
  • Strategic Communication and Reporting: Communicate effectively with senior management, providing regular updates and comprehensive reports on trading strategies, market insights, and overall performance.
  • Compliance and Policy Adherence: Ensure strict compliance with all internal policies and external regulatory requirements pertinent to FX trading.
  • Commercial Oversight: Take an active role in the commercial success of the Corporate FX trading operations by identifying revenue-generating opportunities and implementing strategies that enhance profitability.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Market Expertise: Profound understanding of the FX market, including familiarity with various FX products and hedging techniques.
  • Competitive Landscape: Awareness of the competitive environment to strategically position our services to maximize market share.
  • Regulatory Framework: In-depth knowledge of the regulatory landscape affecting FX trading both in the UK and internationally.
  • Client Portfolio Management: Proven experience managing a significant portfolio, demonstrating success in client retention and business development.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline. A Master's degree or professional certifications in financial markets or trading would be beneficial.
  • Professional Experience: Several years of experience on an FX trading desk at a financial institution, transitioning into a sales-focused role.
  • Trading and Sales Abilities: Exceptional capability to balance trading and sales responsibilities.
