At Wabtec, we're committed to pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the rail industry. As a Methods Engineer, you'll play a critical role in optimizing our assembly and manufacturing processes, driving efficiency and innovation across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with our engineering team to introduce new products and processes, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Investigate complex production problems, analyze root causes, and recommend solutions to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Design and implement efficient workplace and cell layouts to promote optimal overhaul and manufacturing processes.
  • Develop product structures and build sequences for assigned overhaul, assembly, or manufacturing operations.
  • Read, interpret, and evaluate drawings, models, and designs for assembly and manufacture.
  • Design and develop tools, fixtures, test rigs, and jigs to support our manufacturing processes.
  • Lead improvement projects and present findings to managers and staff.
  • Maintain and update Work Instructions to reflect the latest practices and improvements.
Requirements:
  • HNC engineering qualification or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of mathematics, Lean principles, and tools, Six Sigma.
  • CAD qualification desirable.
