We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Paralegal to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional results for our clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for case managing pre-action clinical negligence claims, including:

  • Completing client management information procedures and databases
  • Achieving set financial and chargeable hours targets
  • Ensuring relevant deadlines, quality measures, and key performance indicators are adhered to
  • Complying with relevant policies and procedures
  • Working in accordance with Weightmans' values

This is a varied role that requires a flexible approach and the ability to adapt to different tasks. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience as a Paralegal
  • A genuine and demonstrable interest in clinical negligence and healthcare law
  • Experience of handling fast-track EL/PL or clinical negligence claims in their own name
  • Knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) procedure with proven technical ability
  • Excellent written and organizational skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and timescales
  • Ability to work to client service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on their own initiative
