Deputy Team Manager for Adult Social Work

Randstad Care is seeking an experienced Deputy Team Manager to join our team in Southwark Council's Adult Services department. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality services to adults in need.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide management, professional expertise, and advice to ensure high-quality services are delivered.
  • Support the Team Manager in service development, safeguarding, professional supervision, and other management responsibilities.
  • Be accountable for the practice of our multi-disciplinary team and provide effective professional leadership, supervision, mentoring, and coaching to enhance the quality of practice.
  • Cover and lead the duty function within both Intermediate Care and Urgent Response.
  • Triaging incoming referrals to social care urgent response and case allocation within @Home.
  • Undertake timely allocation of work to the right person and effectively manage waiting lists and risk.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with relevant teams and negotiate smooth transfers of case responsibility when appropriate.
  • Ensure that safeguarding is a key priority and that effective systems and processes are in place for the investigation of all allegations and incidents of reported abuse.
Requirements:
  • Social Work England Registered (SWE)
  • Enhanced DBS
  • Social Work Degree or equivalent
