Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Oversee the development and launch of new products and processes, ensuring alignment with customer milestones and business objectives.
- Supplier Management: Manage multiple suppliers of tooling and capital, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Process Development: Develop comprehensive timing plans and pre-production processes to support the launch of new products.
- Equipment Design and Development: Design, develop, specify, and source key manufacturing equipment to support the production of high-quality products.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure products, processes, and materials meet safety and quality standards, and develop comprehensive health and safety documents as required.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product design, operations, and quality to ensure seamless execution of projects.
- Cost Savings and Efficiency: Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives to support the company's continuous improvement roadmap.
- Education: Degree qualified in mechanical or manufacturing engineering.
- Experience: Significant experience in a relevant role within a 1st tier automotive supplier, preferably within a just-in-time environment.
- Skills: Knowledge of headliner manufacturing and assembly, experience with Six Sigma/Lean manufacturing processes, and proficiency in MS Project.
