The Role

We are seeking an experienced Investment Manager to join our team in Newcastle. As an Investment Manager, you will be responsible for providing personalized investment advice and portfolio management to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and develop trusted relationships with current and potential clients
  • Provide investment advice and portfolio management to clients, ensuring that investment portfolios are managed in line with our investment philosophies and process
  • Look after and support client needs
  • Build new client relationships and develop existing client relationships through effective ongoing service
  • Structure and lead client meetings in a professional manner
  • Construct and maintain suitable portfolios in line with clients' requirements, circumstances, tax situation, and attitude to risk
  • Review portfolios regularly and make portfolio changes consulting with colleagues, where appropriate
  • Work in partnership with Financial Planning and Professional Services colleagues to develop client relationships
  • Ensure comprehensive client records are kept and are accurate and up to date at all times

Requirements

  • Minimum Level 6 Qualified or Chartered status
  • Understanding of the financial services industry and investment market
  • Experience of managing client investment portfolios and providing investment advice
  • Experience of remodelling newly acquired portfolios and bringing them into line with the investment policy
  • Technical/product knowledge and effective communication of wide-ranging investment management strategies and solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience of leading pitches and winning new business
  • Experience of operating within a risk management framework, together with a thorough understanding of the risks and threats pertaining to a private client business
