We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Mental Health/Learning Disability Nurse to join our team at Cygnet Paddocks, our flagship Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) service in Widnes.

About the Role

As a Registered Mental Health/Learning Disability Nurse at Cygnet Paddocks, you will be responsible for providing outstanding care and support to our service users, who have complex needs and require a dedicated pathway to recovery and rehabilitation. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver individualized care plans, administer prescribed medicines, and participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce high-quality written reports based on your nursing assessments and observations.
  • Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of care.
  • Attend all training and engage in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to further your knowledge and skills.
  • Ensure that individual care plans are complete and maintained in accordance with NMC guidelines.
  • Administer prescribed medicines in accordance with healthcare procedures and guidelines.

Requirements
  • Current and valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Mental Health/Learning Disability Nurse.
  • Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, patients, and their support networks.
  • Preparedness to undertake the physical care needs of patients, demonstrating a hands-on approach to nursing care.
  • Advocate for patient rights and well-being, with a commitment to providing patient-centred care and ensuring their voices are at the forefront of treatment.
