Commercial Director

Finlay Jude Associates Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Director to join their team at the Southern Water Region. As a key member of the Commercial team, you will play a crucial role in leading the frameworks next cycle, managing a £100-150 million per year region, and providing commercial support and leadership to projects/contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement commercial strategies in line with company objectives, ensuring alignment with the company's overall vision.
- Contract Management: Oversee contract negotiations, ensuring that contracts are in the best interests of the client and align with the company's commercial goals.
- Risk Management: Identify commercial risks and proactively mitigate them, ensuring the company's financial stability and reputation.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and internal teams, to drive commercial success.
- Change Management: Identify and proactively mitigate contract changes, ensuring minimal disruption to the business.
- Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, ensure cost efficiency, and drive profitability, ensuring the company's financial health.
- Team Leadership: Mentor, guide, and supervise the commercial team to achieve departmental goals, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
About the Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in a commercial management role, preferably within the water sector, with a strong track record of delivering commercial success.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Proficient in contract management and risk assessment, with a deep understanding of commercial risks and opportunities.
- Experience in a similar role with senior management responsibilities, with a proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
- Able to demonstrate strong leadership capability, with a vision for commercial excellence and a passion for driving business growth.
