Clinical Nurse Specialist - Haemodialysis Unit

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Haemodialysis Unit, who shares our commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and service.

As a leading NHS Trust, we offer a unique opportunity for nurses to work across a wide range of clinical specialties and advance their professional development in a dynamic and supportive environment.

The successful candidate will be a recognised expert in haemodialysis care, responsible for assessing, developing, and implementing specialist nursing care programs, and providing specialist advice and support to colleagues.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing individual patient care needs and medications
  • Developing, implementing, and evaluating clinical management plans of care for patients dialysing in centre or at satellite units
  • Supervising and delegating work to other qualified staff, healthcare support workers, and students in the absence of senior staff

We are looking for a nurse with a strong commitment to patient-focused care, who is able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and make recommendations to enhance the smooth running and management of the unit.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Registered Nurse qualification and degree-level education
  • Continuous professional development and evidence of non-medical prescribing
  • Knowledge of quality assurance in patient dialysis treatment
  • A flexible approach and ability to react to changing departmental needs
