Test Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Test Technician to join our team in Rochester, working within a specialized manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test a range of analogue and digital products in a time-sensitive environment
  • Diagnose and identify issues within electronic systems by examining individual components
  • Use a variety of tools and equipment to carry out tests
  • Ensure compliance to test specifications and follow processes and procedures
  • Use problem-solving skills to identify failures and use appropriate tools to test equipment
  • Perform wiring, soldering, and quality inspection as necessary
  • Maintain associated digital documentation

Requirements:

  • A solid background in electronics manufacturing environments
  • Experience testing and fault-finding to component level
  • The ability to understand circuit diagrams
  • Tech-savviness, able to use various digital software
  • A good work ethic with flexibility to work various shift patterns
  • Willingness to upskill or use additional knowledge in wiring, soldering, and fitting
  • Great communication skills
  • The right to work in the UK permanently with no restrictions
