Associate Director Medical Affairs

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director Medical Affairs to join our team at Pharma Partners Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our Medical Affairs group, you will be responsible for devising and implementing medical strategy for the Haematology division in the UK and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead UK & Ireland Medical Affairs strategy for the Haematology division
  • Line manage a team of 1st and 2nd line reports (office and field based)
  • Active member of the Medical & Disease Area Leadership Teams
  • Work with the Country Medical Director to ensure the continuous improvement of processes and activities across the Medical Affairs group
  • Attend relevant conferences as required
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality medical projects
  • Effectively manage medical budgets
  • Build and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders
  • Support the medical and cross-functional team in launch planning
  • Act as an internal scientific expert for Haematology
  • Review and approve materials in line with the ABPI Code of Practice
  • Maintain knowledge of all therapy areas within the business and support the wider medical function

Candidate Requirements

  • UK registered Physician or Pharmacist
  • ABPI Final Signatory
  • Extensive Medical Affairs experience in the UK
  • Line management experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Demonstrable leadership skills and strategic thinker
  • Cross-functional project experience
  • Confident presenter and strong communication skills
