The RoleWe are seeking a dynamic and ambitious individual to join our team as a Retail Assistant Manager. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in driving sales performance and day-to-day operations. You will deliver an exceptional customer experience, optimize key performance indicators (KPIs), and maintain high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Customer Experience: Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring every customer leaves the store satisfied and loyal.
- Store Performance: Support the Store Manager in driving sales performance, identifying opportunities to improve KPIs, and implementing plans to exceed targets.
- Team Management: Recruit, manage, and develop a high-performing team, providing coaching and guidance to ensure team members reach their full potential.
- Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of our wine range, managing tasting events and executing an enticing and commercially savvy tasting counter.
- Store Maintenance: Take accountability for the physical appearance and maintenance of the store, ensuring swift reporting and escalation of any issues.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal policies, processes, and mandatory training, maintaining a safe and legal working environment.
- Experience: Proven experience working in a fast-paced, target-driven retail or hospitality environment.
- Customer Service: Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer experience and service.
- Retail KPIs: Understanding of retail KPIs and ability to drive improvements.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to prioritize and strategically problem-solve in high-pressure environments.
- Communication: Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Qualifications: WSET 2 qualification is essential, with a willingness to work towards WSET 3 qualification.
