Inclusion and SEN Advisory Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SEN Specialist Advisor to join our team at Cheshire West and Chester Council. The successful candidate will contribute to the meeting of local authority targets regarding statements of Inclusion, Education Health and Care plans and make an effective contribution to other Council targets including raising the achievement of pupils identified with SEN and promoting Inclusion within schools and settings across the borough.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor SEN provision according to quality standards both nationally and those of the authority for individual pupils with SEN.
- Provide advice, support and challenge where appropriate on issues related to efficient and effective inclusive education practices for pupils with SEN.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to improve outcomes for pupils with SEN.
- Work closely with schools, colleges and other stakeholders to promote inclusive education practices and improve outcomes for pupils with SEN.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a dynamic, supportive team and be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of SEN and inclusive education practices. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
