Job Title: Social Research Methodologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Social Research Methodologist to join our UK Research Methods team at Verian Group.

About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time, hybrid home/office role suitable for someone completing a Doctorate in a relevant topic. As a Social Research Methodologist, you will work across our client base and provide ad hoc support to other members of the UK Methods team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work on one-off studies of public sector service delivery as well as on broader evaluations of policy in their real-life context.
  • Improve our research design through the analysis of 'paradata' generated in the course of delivering large-scale social surveys.
  • Apply your statistical skills and broader methodological knowledge to a variety of projects across the business for clients.
  • Investigate new statistical techniques, software packages, and routines, and reviewing methodological literature to support new offer elements within Verian.
  • Contribute to the methodological shape of proposed research projects, drafting elements of the bid documents, and carrying out literature searches to ensure evidential support for what is proposed.
Requirements

This role is suitable for someone completing a Doctorate with a substantial focus on social research methodology, especially surveys.
