Virgin Media O2 is seeking a highly experienced Statutory & Streetworks Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will act as a key advisor on all matters related to streetworks legislation and compliance, providing expert guidance to internal departments.

Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Educating, coaching, and mentoring teams on relevant legislation and best practices.
  • Collaborating with external partners to drive process improvements and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Representing the company in local authority meetings and advocating for our interests.
  • Leading responses to consultations, ensuring our perspectives are effectively communicated and contributing to legislative amendments that impact our business.

Essential Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in street works legislation and a deep understanding of related regulations and codes of practice.
  • Proven ability to interpret complex legal documents and apply them to practical situations.
  • Experience managing contractors and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
