Lead Business and Economic Growth in the Royal Borough

This is a senior leadership role that will play a vital part in driving economic growth and development in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. As Head of Business and Economic Growth, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team that focuses on business engagement, inward investment, and business and enterprise services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote business growth and development in the Royal Borough
  • Lead and manage a team responsible for business engagement, inward investment, and business and enterprise services
  • Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, stakeholders, and partners to ensure businesses have access to the full range of services required to help them start up, grow, relocate, or be retained in the Royal Borough
  • Oversee the efficient operation and development of the markets and street trading inspection service and the coordination of the town centre management function
  • Work collaboratively across services to ensure businesses have access to the full range of services required to help them succeed
Requirements
  • Significant experience of managing business engagement, inward investment, business and enterprise services
  • Excellent organisation and data skills, ensuring an evidence and outcome-based approach
  • Extensive knowledge across a range of disciplines including business support, procurement, and social value, inward investment, markets, and street trading inspection
  • Ability to lead and manage a team and build relationships with stakeholders and partners
