About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Economic Growth Strategist to join our team at the Royal Borough of Greenwich. As a key member of our economic development team, you will play a crucial role in shaping and growing the local economy, working closely with stakeholders and partners to achieve defined outcomes that benefit our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver the Council's Inclusive Economy Strategy, working strategically across services and with external partners to achieve economic growth and prosperity for Greenwich.
  • Lead on developing and implementing local economy programmes, including the development of key sectors and opportunities for external funding.
  • Manage a team responsible for economic policy and analysis, ensuring an evidence-based approach to our work.
  • Bring expert knowledge and experience of economic strategy and policy in a local government context, identifying opportunities to deliver the Council's missions and economic growth.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and partners to achieve defined outcomes, including the development of key sectors and opportunities for external funding.
