About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Rehability UK. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual checks on maintenance equipment and systems to identify and report any issues or defects.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including electrical checks, fire safety checks, and equipment maintenance, to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents and staff.
  • Assist in the general maintenance of our retirement apartments, including redecoration works, ground maintenance, and site upkeep.
  • Liaise with the Home Manager and Facilities Manager to discuss maintenance issues, re-decoration, and other related matters.
  • Use and maintain equipment provided in a safe and secure manner.
  • Be aware of maintaining residents' privacy and communicate with nursing staff when works are required that may affect resident care.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of basic maintenance operations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
