We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Maintenance Technician or Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Red Kite Waste.

Job Summary:

As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for undertaking reactive and preventative maintenance on our large static capital plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct both reactive and preventive maintenance (PPM) on large static capital plant equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  2. Carry out repairs on equipment, including mechanical hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, and valves, using your technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
  3. Consistently apply safety protocols and use appropriate PPE throughout all maintenance activities, prioritizing the well-being of yourself and others.

Requirements:

  1. Completed a recognized mechanical engineering or general engineering apprenticeship or training (City and Guilds, NVQ, ONC, HNC, HND, or Degree) in a relevant discipline.
  2. Experience working on large static capital plant equipment, such as Conveyors, Balers, Compactors, Shredders, Pelletisers, Crushers, Screeners, Quarry Equipment, and Production Equipment.
  3. Any electrical experience is a plus, and health and safety qualifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH are beneficial but not essential.
