Job Title: Linux SysAdmin

At Hunter Bond, we are seeking a highly skilled Linux SysAdmin to join our team as a Linux/Storage Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading FinTech trading company and contribute to the design, implementation, and administration of a best-in-class Linux and storage environment.

About the Role

We are looking for a leader in infrastructure engineering to assist in building a cutting-edge Linux and storage environment for trading. As a Linux SysAdmin, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and administration of the low-latency infrastructure within the fund, including containerization, virtualization, colocation, and enterprise storage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement a high-performance Linux and storage environment for trading
  • Lead complex engineering projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Develop and maintain scripts and tools using Ansible, shell scripting, and Python
  • Work closely with the DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment and release management
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in Linux and storage
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong academic background with a bachelor's degree (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience architecting solutions leveraging RHEL operating system at a top-tier financial or technical firm
  • Expert-level knowledge of the Linux Operating System
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex engineering projects
  • Understanding of Release and Deployment Management processes, preferably including RedHat Satellite experience
