Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead DevOps Engineer to join our team at Wargaming. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for managing, mentoring, and training a team of DevOps and Build engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of DevOps and Build engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Infrastructure Optimization: Optimize DevOps practices and methodologies to improve efficiency and scalability, ensuring that our infrastructure is aligned with the company's goals.
  • Project Planning: Plan and architect project development, staging, and production infrastructure, ensuring that it meets the company's requirements.
  • Career Development: Guide the career development of team members, providing opportunities for growth and professional development.
  • Incident Management: Oversee incident management and troubleshooting, ensuring that issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.
  • Infrastructure Management: Ensure the 24/7 operation of game clusters, ensuring that they are stable and secure.
  • Documentation: Write documentation and SOPs to ensure that knowledge is shared and retained within the team.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with technical, QA, live-ops, and release teams to provide stable and timely version releases.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience working as a Lead DevOps Engineer, DevOps Team Lead, or similar role.
  • Infrastructure Experience: Experience operating high-load systems and products in production.
  • Scripting and Programming: Scripting and/or programming experience with Python and Bash.
  • Cloud Experience: Experience automating infrastructure deployment and managing scalable applications using Kubernetes in a CI/CD environment.
  • Cloud Providers: Strong experience with public cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Configuration Management: Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet).
  • CI/CD Tools: Knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools (Teamcity, Jenkins, Gitlab).
  • Performance Optimization: Experience in optimizing performance and cost management in cloud environments.
  • Monitoring and Logging: Experience building monitoring and logging systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Loki).
  • Database Management: Experience managing databases (RDBMS and NoSQL).
Desirable Skills
  • Session-Based Multiplayer Games: Experience operating session-based multiplayer games.
  • Programming Languages: Programming experience with Python, C/C++, Java/Kotlin.
  • Linux Administration: Strong background in Linux administration.
  • DevSecOps: Experience with DevSecOps practices.
