About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Field Sales Representative to join our team at Macfarlane Packaging. As a Field Sales Representative, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing customers and identifying new business opportunities to drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and implement a business plan to maximize sales and deliver excellent customer service and support.
  • Maintain and develop existing accounts while identifying new business opportunities and extending the customer base.
  • Maintain strong sales administration, including the use of CRM software to follow up on leads and enquiries.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure a first-class service is provided to customers.
  • Adopt a consultative approach with clients to tailor solutions to meet their needs and develop a strong knowledge of packaging solutions and products.
  • Prospect for new customers and turn this into increased business.
  • Cold call as appropriate to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Meet potential clients, grow, maintain, and leverage your network.
  • Identify potential clients and decision-makers within client companies.
  • Plan approaches, sales presentations, and pitches.
  • Meet yearly and monthly sales targets assigned to you.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of field-based, client-facing sales experience.
  • Effective negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Recent B2B field sales/customer-facing experience with a record of impressive performance.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new business and sector knowledge.
  • Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel.
