About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer or Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at Hoare Lea, a leading engineering consultancy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical engineering solutions for a variety of projects, including healthcare, higher education, science and research, transport, and commercial sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement electrical engineering concepts and designs for projects across various sectors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver electrical engineering solutions that meet client needs and expectations.
  • Conduct site surveys and investigations to inform design decisions and ensure project deliverables.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in electrical engineering, and apply this knowledge to develop innovative solutions for clients.
  • Contribute to the development of new and innovative ways of working, with a focus on digital skills and process improvement.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and adhere to our Integrated Management System to ensure a high reputation within the industry.
  • Support community benefit initiatives, such as STEM activities, and develop an awareness of construction procurement routes, project management skills, and financial acumen.
What We're Looking For
  • A collaborative and driven individual with a passion for electrical engineering and a willingness to learn and develop.
  • A clear understanding of building services engineering and interdisciplinary design through all stages of the design process.
  • Previous consultancy experience, with an appreciation for the importance of complementary specialisms such as acoustics, fire engineering, and computer modeling.
  • Working towards or achieved Chartered Engineer status.
  • Courage to innovate and develop new ways of working, with an autonomous approach and ability to lead small projects and tasks.
  • Ownership of the quality of our outputs and an appreciation of client needs, with the ability to be client and project-team-facing.
