Acorn by Synergie is seeking a skilled Health and Safety Manager to champion health and safety initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
Main Responsibilities:- Implement and communicate management systems (ISO 9001/14001) to ensure compliance and excellence.
- Contribute to root cause analysis for accidents and incidents, and collaborate with the operations team to increase reporting and close out associated actions.
- Play an active role in internal audits, conducting management system audits and supporting external audits.
- Develop and manage regulations under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, and assist the process safety team in process hazard assessments.
- Manage site safety protocols for visitors and contractors, and oversee COSHH assessments.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar health and safety role, preferably in a chemical manufacturing background. A NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent is essential, and a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
