Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates by analyzing project drawings, specifications, and related documents.
- Perform quantity take-offs for materials, labour, and plant using estimation software and manual methods.
- Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing, negotiate costs, and verify quotes.
- Maintain and update a database of costs, materials, and labour rates.
- Assist in the preparation of bid packages, including cost summaries, clarifications, and supporting documents.
- Help identify and assess potential risks, providing input for mitigation strategies.
- Support the preparation of detailed reports.
- Continuously improve skills by attending training sessions and staying updated on industry standards and best practices.
