About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and committed individual to join our small team of dedicated cleaners at Sellincourt Primary School. As a School Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our pupils and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean, mop, and vacuum classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and other common areas
  • Empty litter and recycling bins
  • Polish and dust, including the cleaning of sanitary ware
  • Report any maintenance or safety issues and concerns to the Bursar
Deep Cleaning Responsibilities

Deep cleaning responsibilities may include wall washing, carpet/rug cleaning, washing floors, and internal window cleaning. You should be advised that there will be a requirement to move furniture and carry equipment up and down stairs – manual handling training will be provided.

Requirements
  • Have an Enhanced DBS
  • Be reliable and punctual
  • Paying strong attention to detail
  • Be committed to maintaining high cleaning standards
  • Have an understanding of Health and Safety and COSSH Regulations or a willingness to undertake relevant training
Working Hours and Salary

This is a permanent, part-time position, working up to 20 hours a week, Monday to Friday. Working hours would ideally be 5 – 9pm every day, but we are happy to be flexible to accommodate the right candidate. The annual salary will be up to £13,448 (actual pay).
