Anderson Knight is seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Specialist to join our team in Renfrewshire. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our supply chain processes, ensuring efficient procurement of goods and services, and collaborating with vendors, logistics partners, and internal teams to meet organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely replenishment of inventory.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts that benefit the company.
- Oversee the end-to-end order management process, including placing orders, tracking shipments, and ensuring timely delivery.
- Analyze supply chain data, such as lead times, demand forecasts, and inventory levels, to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping companies, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth logistics operations, both domestically and internationally.
- Implement strategies to optimize supply chain processes and improve overall efficiency, including cost reduction and risk management.
- Ensure that all procurement and logistics activities comply with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Prepare and present reports on key performance metrics, such as inventory turnover, supplier performance, and logistics costs, to senior management.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
* 2-5 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or logistics.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
