Job Summary:

Career Teachers is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a Primary School setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality support to teachers and pupils with SEN, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, as well as small group work and individual support.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with teachers, pupils, and parents to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 or above childcare or TA qualification.
  • Experience working within schools, preferably in a SEN setting.
  • Confidence with the curriculum and ability to adapt to changing needs.
  • Relevant qualification and ability to provide quality support to teachers and pupils.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
