About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate to join our Enhanced Due Diligence team within the Shared Service Centre at BDO UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for administering our Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and confirm client due diligence prior to approving new project codes on our financial systems.
  • Act as a KYC/CTO2 Champion, sharing knowledge and expertise with colleagues and direct reports.
  • Provide guidance on KYC Guidance and its application in various situations.
  • Line manage up to 8 direct reports, overseeing performance objectives, individual one-to-ones, quality, and productivity scores.
  • Develop and maintain robust workflow and workforce planning, aligning with the Workflow hub and SSC management team.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of SLA-managed activity, providing timely updates.
  • Support ad-hoc projects, taking ownership and delivery as requested by the Review Hub Lead and Economic Crime team.
  • Carry out quality assurance checking of junior team members' work.
  • Provide support to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) and Economic Crime Team.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in line management, with a focus on performance development.
  • Strong IT skills, including MS Office, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Internet research.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a professional level of verbal and written communication.
  • Good time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to use initiative and take a flexible approach.
  • Good telephone manner.
