Position Overview

As a Global Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for:

Formulating and executing a robust global strategy for Mechanistic Tools (including Epigenetics, Metabolism, and Cardiology) that fosters growth across various product lines and tailored service offerings, in alignment with client requirements.

  • Oversee revenue, profit margins, and long-term financial objectives for the assigned Portfolio, supported by global pricing strategies, regional discounting approaches, and promotional activities in collaboration with Growth Marketing and Sales to achieve or surpass financial targets.
  • Ensure successful implementation of the Portfolio strategy to:
  • Maintain above-market growth in core categories such as antibodies, immunoassays, cellular and biochemical assays, proteins, cell lines, and conjugation products.
  • Guide the New Product Introduction Lead in executing NPD focus and launch strategies for new products and product groups, aiming for optimal market penetration and revenue growth during the early stages of product life-cycle. Direct the Product Management team to conduct operational business planning for managing mature life-cycle products (3+ years) within the Portfolio, ensuring alignment with marketing strategies to meet revenue goals. Collaborate closely with R&D teams on approaches (in-house, OEM, in-licensing), optimal product mix, and prioritization of Portfolio requirements and NPD pipelines, ensuring resources are allocated in accordance with Portfolio objectives and strategies for the near, mid, and long-term.
  • Collaborate with Emerging Business, R&D, and other Portfolio Leaders to assess and analyze global customer demands, market insights, and competitor dynamics, utilizing these insights to drive the successful development and execution of a differentiated, market-leading Portfolio strategy with commercialization plans across all channels and regions.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a life science field with a minimum of 10 years of experience and comprehensive knowledge of the life science tools and reagents sector.
  • In-depth understanding of disease areas (experience in Epigenetics, Metabolism, or Cardiology) and the requirements of customers in these fields when selecting proteomic tools for their research, with at least 5 years in Product Management, Product Marketing, or Strategic Development within the Life Sciences sector.
  • Proven analytical and data-driven approach to developing commercialization strategies, with the ability to adapt or optimize plans in response to external or internal factors to meet customer needs, sustain growth, and achieve financial objectives.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%, including both domestic and international travel.
