As a key contributor, the Systems Administrator Level II will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the organization’s technology assets, providing mentorship and guidance to Operations Analysts in a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the Director/Manager of Field Support Services to achieve operational goals.
  • Organizes and prioritizes project tasks to ensure timely completion.
  • Engages in regular discussions with management or senior staff to report on progress, seek assistance with complex issues, and celebrate achievements.
  • Supports the Operations System Administration team by providing second-tier assistance for enterprise systems.
  • Works alongside System Engineers, IT Security, Application Development, Network, and Operations Service teams to maintain the IT infrastructure.
  • Takes full technical ownership of assigned equipment and technologies.
  • Documents the design, implementation, and configuration of both new and existing technologies.
  • Escalates unresolved issues to vendors or senior management for further resolution.
  • Utilizes problem tracking software effectively to manage incident reporting.
  • Available for on-call duties to respond to critical incidents 24/7 throughout the year.
  • May require occasional work during nights and weekends.
  • Participates in an on-call rotation.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Adheres to internal control measures.
  • Proficient in the following technologies is essential:
  • Microsoft Server and Active Directory
  • Microsoft Windows 10
  • VMware Virtualization solutions
  • Opsview monitoring tools
  • Veeam Backup solutions
  • Ivanti Windows Batch scripting
  • Cisco WebEx applications
  • Microsoft Exchange/Office 365
  • Cisco IOS
  • Familiarity with the following is advantageous:
  • Palo Alto security solutions
  • Powershell scripting
  • Load Balancer technologies (F5, Avi)
  • Cisco UCS Blade Systems
  • 3PAR SAN storage solutions
  • Velo Cloud networking
  • Ring Central communication tools
  • Industry-standard casino gaming applications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in application and/or IT operations.
  • Proven experience with virtualization technologies.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Active Directory.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in network, software, and hardware.
  • Travel requirements for this role may range from 25-75% based on project needs.
