Electrical Maintenance Controls Engineer Job Description

Our client, a leading manufacturing business, is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Controls Engineer to join their team. This role requires someone with strong knowledge and experience of electrical/automation and PLC systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 'Hands-on' Electrical & PLC Technical support to both Production and other internal functions throughout the Factory.
  • Work with electrical installations, fault finding, and repair of PLC controlled machinery, within a manufacturing environment.
  • Perform PLC fault finding and modifications, as well as installing servo drives and projects, capex improvements, HMI, and profibus.
  • Provide plant-wide electrical maintenance service, departmental support, and repairs on a wide range of machinery.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Team to ensure all production targets are maintained.
Requirements:
  • Recognised Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship & Qualification or equivalent UK level 3 qualification - NVQ, City and Guilds AND BTEC 3 or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering etc.
  • PLC Fault finding experience is essential.
  • Strong skills and experience with breakdowns, fault finding, and changing of PLC parameters specifically.
  • Experience of installing servo drives and projects, capex improvements, HMI, and profibus is all required.
